Perfect weather forecast for Milton MX Park!
16 May 2012Go Back Over 30mm of rain is forecast on Metcheck for this Sunday, but then high pressure is due to form over the Northamptonshire circuit for the whole of next week which should put the re vamped Milton MX Park venue is perfect shape for the next round on Sunday week (May 27th).
Since the inagural event in 2011, the circuit has seen a lot of work on the surface over the winter months with hundreds of tonnes of woodchip and soil put on the surface which will allow it to be ripped and power harrowed later in the week. Over 80% of the circuit is currently "sealed" to protect it from the rain due this weekend so ACU Events have the situation in hand.
ACU Events Operations Manager, Stuart Drummond commented, "With a lot of rain recently the water tables were right up and actually our new pond was overflowing so we have plenty of water stored if required on Friday and Saturday of next week. We will monitor the weather closely towards the end of next week but we have plenty of machinery on hand thanks to Hawk Plant who are supporting us along with our long term sponsor, Autohome Assistance".
Further details of the event which also includes a wildcard appearance of Josh Coppins will be posted next week.
