In temperatures reaching 26 degrees, the Milton Park circuit has completely dried out after the reecent wet spell and will be in prime condition with the steps ACU Events have taken leading up to the big event this Sunday. With the ground being sealed immediately after the recent British Youth National event, some parts were ripped earlier in the week to allow the warm air to dry out some wet spots, but all have now been re sealed as our image shows.Watering will commence tomorrow (Friday) with the circuit still very hard packed, but then it will be ripped and power harrowed ahead of the Saturday watering programme. Hundreds of tonnes of woodchip have been worked into the imported top soil which will be worked by several machines under the eye of Race Director, John Percival and his crew on Saturday.
The weather forecast is dry for the whole weekend, so the team can clearly plan the whole operation from start to finish. Series Manager, Brian Higgins commented, 'With the dry forecast, we are in controlof the situation and with Parkers Pond full to the brim and an experienced team to take care of the watering I am confident the Milton Park circuit will be in good condition at 8.45am on Sunday morning.
The circuit can be found adjacent to the M1 motorway and directions start from either junction 15 or 15a.
