New name on Ken Hall Trophy???

22 August 2012

Go Back With the famous Ken Hall Trophy being incorprated into the seventh round of the series on Monday, it is highly likely that a new name will feature on the prestigious silverware on Monday evening. The Langrish MCRC have decided that the trophy will be awarded to the overall winner of the MX1 class when they take to the Hampshire track for three 20 minute plus two lap races on Monday.

Realistically, Stephen Sword (Tyco Suzuki) is the only rider who has previously won the cup, who could add his name reserved for 2012. The Scotsman last won the trophy in 2010. Past winners include Vic Eastwood, Bryam Goss, Graham Noyce, David Thorpe (5 times) Hakan Carlqvist, Paul Malin, Joham Karlsson, Yoshi Atsuta and Josh Coppins.

The action starts at 9am with the Timed Qualifying sessions with the first race off the line at 12.15pm. The circuit is situated on the A272 Petersfield to Winchester road, about ten miles from the venue of last weeks GP.
