World Motocross Stars, Zach Osborne and Arnaud Tonus (Monster Energy Bike It Yamaha's) dominated the MX2 Qualifying sessions this morning with the third team member - and championship leader, Mel Pocock taking third in the Q1 session, before dropping to fifth in the all important Superpole.It was the Buildbase Honda rider, Nicholas Aubin who lept from 6th in Q1 to third in the Q2 session with a single lap which put him two seconds behind the flying Osborne. Championship contender, Elliot Banks-Browne (HM Plant KTM UK) was a consistent fourth in both sessions to give himself a good gate choice when racing starts at 12.15pm.
After heavy overnight watering, mostly with the newly installed sprinkler system, the 1600 metre hard pack track is in perfect condition, although storms are forecast for later in the day.
