Dougan takes pole in MX1

Returning to form on his local track, Jason Dougan (Route 77 MVR-D Honda) followed up his second position in Q1 with a brilliant lap in the Superpole to snatch the top position from Shaun Simpson (Monster Energy Bike It Yamaha) which demoted Championship Leader and Red Plate holder, Kevin Strijbos (HM Plant KTM UK) to third - just a quarter of a second behind local man Dougan.Fitting in with his new team, Martin Barr (Tyco Suzuki by TAS) went from sixth to fourth, but over a second behind the top three. Alfie Smith turned in his best Superpole of the year to record fifth with Dorren Coutts (PAR Honda) completing the leader board.
