In a twenty five minute epic battle, Arnaud Tonus reversed the first moto result on his Monster Energy Bike It Yamaha Team mate, Zach Osborne in the second MX1 moto. However, if that was enough to keep the large crowd on their toes in bright sunshine, no less than four seconds separated, Elliot Banks-Browne (HM Plant KTM UK), Mel Pocock on the third Bike It machine, Nicolas Aubin ((Buildbase Honda) , early pace setter Bryan MacKenzie (Pendrich KTM) and Neville Bradshaw (Evotech Stevens Honda) for the whole moto. Our Dave Rich image shows MacKenzie in action on one of the bends at Manor FarmHowever, in the MX1 class it was business as usual for Championship Leader, Kevin Strijbos (HM Plant KTM UK) who led from start to finish, with Shaun Simpson (Monster Energy Bike It Yamaha) again playing the bridesmaid's role. However, this time it was Gert Krestinov who took third ahead of Dorren Coutts (PAR Honda) who suffered a mid race "slip off".
Strijbos now has one hand on the title, but it is unlikely that he can claim it today, unless disater hits Simpson in the final moto later this afternoon.
We will give a full report, including the MXY2 class later this evening.
